Entertainment will be streamed on personal electronic devices on Air Canada Rouge

Air Canada Rouge is going to provide streaming of entertainment on personal electronic devices during the flight. Passengers will be able to access the inflight's entertainment system, from movies to TV shows and music through their smartphones, tablet or laptop.

According to Michael Friisdahl, CEO and rouge president, in an interview "It is similar to what you get on Air Canada, except it is on your own personal devices. It gets streamed from within the aircraft." he also added that "People bring their ipads or laptops or iphones and they will be watching or playing their own shows or games." This service will be provided free in month of july as laungh perk but after that additional $5 will be charged to passengers for an unlimited streaming. The seats have been redesigned to remove the entertainment and new hard shell pockets are added in which folded tablets can fit. This initiative will help to shed excess weight and lower the fuel costs.
